Gur (Jaggery) prices dropped by Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today on persistent arrivals from manufacturing areas amid slackness in demand.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also ended weak with prices falling up to Rs 200 per quintal on increased arrivals.
Marketmen said steady inflow of supplies from manufacturing belts against slackened demand, mainly led to the fall in gur prices.
