Gur prices settle lower on bumper stocks

Gur prices slumped by Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today following ample stocks on sustained arrivals amid scattered demand.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also depicted a weak trend with prices falling by up to Rs 350 per quintal on relentless arrivals amid choosy buying.
Marketmen said huge ready stocks in the market on persistent supplies from manufacturing belts due to ample availability of sugar-cane in the markets, weighed on gur prices.
In Delhi, gur Chakku and Pedi prices dropped by Rs 200 each to settle the day at Rs 2,900-3,000 and Rs 3,100-3,200 per quintal.

Gur Dhayya and Shakkar prices also met with resistance lost Rs 100 each to Rs 3,400-3,500 and Rs 3,500-3,600 per quintal.
At Muzaffarnagar, the steep fall of Rs 350 was revealed in gur Chakku at Rs 2,550-2,950, followed by gur Khurpa dipped by Rs 250 to Rs 2,600-2,650 per quintal.

Gur Laddoo prices also settled lower by Rs 100 to finish at Rs 2,850-2,900 per quintal.
Prices of gur Raskat also lean down by Rs 50 to end at Rs 2,450-2,500 per quintal on fall in demand from beer makers.
Coming to Muradnagar, gur Pedi slides by Rs 200 to conclude at Rs 2,800-2,900, while Dhayya moved down by Rs 150 to Rs 2,900-2,950 per quintal.

Gur chakku Rs 2,900-3,000, pedi Rs 3,100-3,200, dhayya Rs 3,400-3,500 and shakkar Rs 3,500-3,600.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,450-2,500, chakku Rs 2,550- 2,950, khurpa Rs 2,600-2,650 and Ladoo Rs 2,850-2,900.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,800-2900 and dhayya Rs 2,900-2,950.
