Gur prices settle quiet on little demand

The wholesale market gur (jaggery) market ended steady in the national capital today with prices by and large after hovering both ends on little alternate bouts of buying and selling, pegged same on last levels.
Muzzafarnagar and Muradnagar markets also remained quiet in the absence of buying support.
Marketmen said sluggish demand and restricted arrivals managed to help gur prices unaltered.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,600-3,700, pedi Rs 3,800-3,900, dhayya Rs 3,900-4,000 and shakkar Rs 4,000-4,100.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,700-2,750, chakku Rs 3,175- 3,275, khurpa Rs N.Q. And Ladoo Rs 3,400-3,450.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,550-3,600 and dhayya Rs 3,600- 3,650.
