Gur prices settle steady in thin trade

The wholesale gur (jaggery) market displayed a steady trend in the national capital today as prices continued to hover in a tight range in muted trade and settled at previous levels.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets too closed flat in thin trade.
Marketmen said arrivals and offtake remained at a low ebb, kept prices unchanged.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,500-3,600, pedi Rs 3,800-3,900, dhayya Rs 3,900-4,000 and shakkar Rs 4,000-4,100.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,650-2,700, chakku Rs 3,200- 3,350,khurpa Rs N.Q. And Ladoo Rs 3,250-3,300.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,400-3,450 and dhayya Rs 3,450-3,500.
