On the other hand, gur prices in Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar markets ended lower on lack of buying support.
Marketmen said negligible demand from stockists and retailers due to tight fund positions following the government's move to withdraw notes of higher denominations, mainly influenced volume of business which dropped considerably.
At Delhi, gur chakku and pedi moved in a narrow range in limited deals and settled at last levels at Rs 3,000-3,100 and Rs 3,200-3,300 per quintal.
On the other hand, at Muzzafarnagar, gur raskat and chakku dropped to Rs 2,500-2,600 and Rs 2,600-2,900 from previous levels of Rs 2,600-2,650 and Rs 2,850-3,000 per quintal.
Gur khurpa and laddo also eased to Rs 2,550-2,650 and Rs 2,900-3,000 against last close of Rs 2,750-2,850 and Rs 3,000-3,100 per quintal.
In Muradnagar, gur pedi and dhayya too ended lower at Rs 2,850-2,900 and Rs 2,950-3,000 from previous levels of Rs 2,900-3,000 and Rs 3,100-3,150 per quintal.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,500-2,600, chakku Rs 2,600-2,900, khurpa Rs 2,550-2,650 and Ladoo Rs 2,900-3,000.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,850-2,900 and dhayya Rs 2,950-3,000.
