On the other hand, gur prices declined by Rs 100 per quintal in Muzaffarnagar markets on thin demand.
Marketmen said reduced offtake and fresh supply largely brought down the gur prices in Muzaffarnagar.
In Muzaffarnagar, Gur Chakku declined to finish at Rs 2600-2850 from Rs 2675-2950 per quintal.
Gur Khurpa and Ladoo also moved down from Rs 2550-2600 and Rs 2700-2900 to close at Rs 2500-2550 and Rs 2675-2800, showing a fall up to Rs 100 per quintal.
The following are today's rates per quintal:
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,550-2,600, chakku 2,600-2,850, khurpa 2,500-2,550 and Ladoo 2,625-2,800.
Muradnagar: Pedi 2,550-2,575 and dhayya 2,500-2,550.
