Half-clad Dalit students undertake Delhi march

A large number of half-clad activists of Ambedkar Students Front (ASF) today left for Delhi on foot to press for filling up of vacant posts in Haryana.
Pradeep Kumar who is leading the Delhi March told reporters here, "About one lakh fifty thousand government posts reserved for backward classes and scheduled castes are lying vacant in Haryana, but the government is not filling those posts.
"We shall meet Rahul Gandhi to complain about the Haryana government's indifferent attitude towards dalits and backward classes," he said.
The ASF organised a meeting at Krantiman park before leaving for Delhi on foot.
"We shall bring into the notice of Congress high command that Congress government in Haryana was extending step-motherly treatment to BCs and SCs in the state and shall seek intervention to check the discrimination," Kumar said.
