Hand grenade recovered in Manipur

One Chinese-made hand grenade was recovered in front of the house of a small time trader from a locality in Imphal West district, this morning, a police officer said.
The businessman, Okram Pishak Singh, resides in Singjamei Okram Leikai locality.
The hand grenade, which was kept by unidentified miscreants, was later safely defused by the police bomb squad.
Police said that the motive behind the act seems to be extortion.
