The East Singhbhum district committee of JMM today urged party supremo Shibu Soren to call for a Jharkhand bandh in protest the hooting against Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a function in Ranchi yesterday.
Describing the hooting as "well-planned conspiracy", the district committee president Ramesh Hansdah told newsmen that the Prime Minister has insulted the "Son of the soil" -cum- Chief Minister, which JMM would never tolerate.
Addressing a press conference here, Hansdah accused Modi of being an "anti-Jharkhand" and turning a government programme into a BJP programme.
Hansdah said JMM would protest the incident in every nook and corner of the district and burn effigy while urging the party supremo to call for Jharkhand bandh in protest soon.
