Har CM welcomes ICJ order

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today welcomed the stay on the execution of former Indian Navy officer Kulbhushan Jadhav, on death row in Pakistan, saying it was a "huge international feat" pulled off by the Narendra Modi government.
"I compliment Prime Minister Narendra Modi, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and the legal team, which worked tirelessly to pull off this achievement," he said in a statement here.
In a major victory for India, which had moved the UN's highest judicial body against the death sentence, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) today stayed the execution of Jadhav.
The chief minister said, "The ICJ directing Pakistan to take all 'necessary measures at its disposal' to ensure that Jadhav was not executed pending a final decision by it, is a huge international feat pulled off by the Modi government."

"I am sure the central government will eventually succeed in securing the release of Kulbhushan Jadhav," he said.
