Special emphasis would be laid on enrolment of women as voters in the state by launching a massive campaign in this regard, she said.
The campaign would be launched in co-ordination with the Haryana Women and Child Development Department, Misra said.
About 8.66 lakh electors had been enrolled last year in in the state, the highest during a non-election year.
The Electoral Officer exhorted all women of the state to come forward and register themselves as voters.
Efforts were on to rope in IAS topper Shena Aggarwal as the female icon for the Election Department this year, Misra said.
