The helicopter of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat today developed a technical snag in Kichha town in the state where he was on his way to address a public meeting.
The Chief Minister then had to continue his journey to the venue by road. Later, the district authorities arranged a vehicle for him to reach the destination for the other programme.
Rawat earlier today said following the demonetisation move, businesses have been affected and the state is likely to incur losses to the tune of Rs 500-700 crore.
Replying to reporters, he said hawkers, vendors and small businesses with annual income of Rs 1 to 4 lakh do not have black money but they have been severely affected by the move.
He said new notes are needed in the market as the old high-value notes have been scrapped.
