One Direction star Harry Styles earned praises from PETA for urging his dolphin-loving fans to avoid SeaWorld during a concert in San Diego, California.
In a video taken and posted on Instagram by one of the concert-goers, the One Direction singer can be heard saying, "Does anybody here like dolphins? Don't go to SeaWorld!", reported Ace Showbiz.
Shortly after coming across the video, a representative for the animal rights organisation said they're "pleased as punch" with Styles' comment.
PETA's Senior Vice President Lisa Lange later said, "It's no surprise that Harry Styles knows what young people care about - they love animals."
"And they hate businesses that hurt them, like SeaWorld's orca prisons do. PETA hopes that One Direction's devoted fans will join the thousands of people around the world who are calling on SeaWorld to retire the orcas to coastal sanctuaries," she added.
They're also planning to send Styles a T-shirt printed with the words "SeaWorld Kills" on it as well as a box of dolphin-shaped vegan chocolates to show their appreciation.
It's not the first time Styles has shown his support against dolphin in captivity.
In fact, he has teamed up with Ric O'Barry and Lincoln O'Barry of Dolphin Project on multiple events meant to raise people's awareness of the plight faced by the marine mammals.
