Haryana cooperative sugar mills output crosses 34 lk quintals

Cooperative sugar mills in Haryana have produced over 34.65 lakh quintals of sugar this year so far, as compared to 29.16 lakh quintals during the corresponding period of last year.
Sugar mills crushed about 353.37 lakh quintals of sugarcane during the current season so far against294.27 lakh quintals of sugarcane in the same period of last year, a spokesman of Haryana State Federation of Cooperative Sugar Mills said.
The cooperative sugar mill in Shahabad has produced a maximum of over 6.94 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 66.46 lakh quintals of sugarcane.
Rohtak cooperative sugar mill has produced over 4.30 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 46.50 lakh quintals of sugarcane, followed by cooperative sugar mill in Meham, which has produced over 3.61 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 39.20 lakh quintals of sugarcane.
He said that the Cooperative Sugar Mill, Kaithal has produced over 3.72 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 37.04 lakh quintals of sugarcane, whereas Cooperative Sugar Mill, Gohana has produced over 3.27 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 35.45 lakh quintals of sugarcane.
Similarly, cooperative sugar mill, Karnal has produced over 2.96 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 27.72 lakh quintals of sugarcane, cooperative sugar mill, Panipat has produced over 2.73 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 26.80 lakh quintals of sugarcane and cooperative sugar mill, Palwal has produced over 2.37 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 25.84 lakh quintals of sugarcane.
Cooperative sugar mill, Jind has produced over 2.50 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 25.74 lakh quintals of sugarcane, whereas cooperative sugar mill in Sonipat has produced over 2.21 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 22.62 lakh quintals of sugarcane.
Apart from this, HAFED Sugar Mill, Assandh have produced over 3.48 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 33.75 lakh quintals of sugarcane.
Average rate of sugar recovery by the cooperative sugar mills has been registered as 9.95 per cent so far, he said.
