Fortis hospital and Max Super Speciality hospital in New Delhi will remain empanelled for two years, which would be renewed further after considering the hospitals' performance, a health department spokesperson said.
The decision to empanel these hospitals has been taken subject to the condition that the expenditure on treatment would be reimbursed according to the rates of Post-graduate Institute of Medical education and Research in Chandigarh and All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, he said.
