Haryana government is considering regularisation of nearly 3,000 illegal colonies in the state.
Haryana Finance Minister Captain Abhimanyu also said the state government will soon come out with a policy on mining.
"The state government is seriously considering to legalise nearly 3,000 colonies whereby all basic facilities like power, road, sewer and water will be provided," he told reporters.
He alleged that during the previous Congress government, cases of illegal mining were "rampant" in the state.
Reacting to the 'padyatra' launched by Haryana Congress, the finance minister claimed the opposition party would not get any support from people for it as the BJP-led government was "working in the interest of people."
In an answer to another question, he said, the state government would provide jobs to youths of Haryana on merit- basis.
