The scheme looks to enable entrepreneurs to work in a congenial atmosphere with adequate infrastructure, a spokesman of the Industries and Commerce Department said here today.
The scheme will cover projects providing water, drainage and sewage treatment facilities, setting up of effluent treatment plants (ETPs) and other pollution control measures, technology services back-up for micro and small enterprises (MSEs) in the new and existing industries occupied areas in conforming zones.
Smaller groups can, however, be considered for financial assistance depending on the merit of each case. However, their number should not be less than 30, he said.
The location selected will be approved by the Department of Environment and the infrastructure created should should have necessary permissions from the competent authority, he said.
The financial assistance and grant-in-aid at a rate of 80 per cent would be allowed on the cost of project of Rs 2 crore, he added.
