The tourism department of the state government has taken the initiative with a view to making the 29th edition of Surajkund International Crafts Mela more visitor-friendly.
The mela will be held from February 1 to 15, 2015 at Surajkund in Faridabad.
Managing Director, Haryana Tourism, Sumita Misra said that the department will introduce a mobile application soon and that it is the need of the hour to offer technologically-sound solutions for visitors.
"Tie-ups with more payment gateways to ensure smooth online transactions and convenient entry to the mela for online ticket customers is surely going to take the mega event to another level," Misra said.
Once the application is launched before the start of the mela, it can be downloaded free from Apple Store (for Apple iOS handheld devices) and Google Play Store (for Android-based handheld devices), she added.
