The prosecution counsel argument remained inconclusive as Public Prosecutor Janmejaya Katakia sought some more time to file a document in the court in support of the case against Mishra.
On Katakia's plea, Justice D P Choudhury adjourned the hearing to Monday.
Mishra, the chief of Odisha Stevedores Limited and a few others were arrested for their alleged involvement in the last year's murder of one Mahendra Swain, a local manager of another stevedores company in Paradeep.
He sought bail for Mishra arguing that the Paradeep police has no admissible evidence against Mishra to prove his involvement in the case.
Countering the prosecution's stand, Tulsi argued that as per law, any statement of the co-accused persons against one another is not admissible in Court.
"And so far, the police has failed to gather any tangible evidence against my client," Tulsi said.
