Himachal High Court today directed the state vigilance and anti-corruption bureau to file the latest investigation report in a case registered against HPCA in a confidential cover by March 11.
Acting Chief Justice Mansoor Ahmad Mir passed these orders on the petition filed by HPCA to quash the FIR registered against it under Prevention of Corruption Act, contending that FIR was vague, malicious and "a result of political vendetta".
A case had been registered against Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association over alleged wrong-doings in allotment of land to the sports body for constructing a residential complex for players near its stadium in Dharamsala.
The Vigilance Bureau had also registered a case in connection with the demolition of a UGC-funded building of education department for teachers' residence in the allotted land.
The court heard the arguments of the parties and posted the matter for March 11.
Sources in the vigilance bureau said the investigations in the case have been completed but filing of challan in the court would be possible only after March 11.
The vigilance bureau had questioned HPCA president Anurag Thakur twice and asked him to explain how the HPCA which was Society had been converted into a Company.
Earlier, the court had indicted the Virbhadra Singh government for forcible eviction of the cricket body from its properties and restored possession to HPCA.
