HC directs CBI to file status report in CU case

Jharkhand High Court today directed the CBI to file a status report on its investigation into alleged embezzlement of central funds to the tune of Rs 43 crore granted to the Central University.
Hearing a PIL filed by a social activist accusing the university of embezzlement of funds, Justice R Banumathi and Justice D N Patel also directed the Centre and the Central University to file their respective status reports on the matter.
The court fixed November 29 as the next date for hearing.
