HC for prompt compensation to victims of hit-and-run cases

In a major relief to victims of hit-and-run cases, the Punjab and Haryana High Court today gave direction that compensation be given to them without any delay.
Following the judgement passed by Justice K Kannan, the Gurgaon District and Sessions judge and chairman of District Legal Services Authority Harnam Singh Thakur said guidelines have been given to District Legal Services Authority to ensure compliance with the order.
According Gurgaon PRO R S Sangwan, lawyers and para legal volunteers of the District Legal Services Authority will provide all kinds of legal assistance to accident victims.
