HC peon who took bribe from lawyer gets one year in jail

The special Anti-Corruption Bureau court today sentenced a man, who worked as a peon at the Bombay High Court, to one year's imprisonment for accepting a bribe of Rs 500 from a lawyer.
According to ACB, Sreedhar Chauhan demanded the bribe from the lawyer for getting his case listed as 'urgent' in October 2010.
He was granted bail after the sentencing.
