Head constable's wife commits suicide in Ghaziabad

A 45-year-old woman married to a head constable allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her parents' house in Kirtan-wali-Gali here.
SHO Dhirender Yadav told that Seema, daughter of Narottam Das, got married to police constable Manoj Dixit 20 years back. Dixit is currently posted at Bulandshahr.
The couple had adopted a boy and since then there was a scuffle between them following which the woman left her husband and started living at her parents' house.
She took the extreme step yesterday. Upon getting information, Kotwali police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem.
An FIR under section 306 IPC (abetment of suicide) has been registered against the woman's husband, the SHO said, adding the accused will be arrested soon.

In a separate incident, a youth was run over by speeding train near Guldhar level crossing under Sihani Gate police jurisdiction.
The body has been sent for post-mortem and police is trying to establish the identity of the deceased, said SHO Avneesh Gautam.
