government run residential high school in Gajapati district was suspended for alleged dereliction of duty and misappropriation of rice meant for students.
While all schools in the district re-opened on June 19 this eyar after the summer vacation, the high school run by the welfare depatment opened on June 30 because of the wrong information passed on to the students and teachers by the headmaster, oficials said.
Parents also complained against him to the district administration about alleged misappropriation of rice.
Though the headmaster claimed that the rice was buried after being infested by insects, he did not reply to the show cause issued by district administration, said district welfare officer (DWO), Ganeswar Bharinal.
