Heat wave continues in Delhi, mercury settles at 44.5 deg C

Delhiites continued to reel under the heat wave today with the mercury settling at 44.5 degrees Celsius, same as yesterday, the season's highest.
Palam and Delhi university have recorded over 46 degrees Celsius.
"The minimum temperature was recorded at 27.5 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average and the humidity was 43 per cent," a MeT official said.
Yesterday was the season's hottest day in the national capital, with the maximum temperature settling at 44.5 degrees Celsius, five notches above the season's average while the minimum temperature had settled at 29.3 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average.
