Heat wave continues in Raj, Bikaner boils at 47 deg C

Heat wave continued in parts of Rajasthan today with Bikaner recording the highest temperature at 47 degrees Celsius.
Bikaner was followed by Phalodi in Jodhpur and Kota, recording maximum temperatures of 46.5 degrees Celsius and 46.2 degrees Celsius respectively, the MeT Department said here.
Mercury in Sriganganagar, Jaisalmer, Churu, Jodhpur, Jaipur and Barmer settled at 45.8, 45.5, 45.4, 44.7, 44.6 and 43.8 degrees Celsius, it said.
The weather conditions would remain the same during next 24 hours, a MeT forecast said.
Meanwhile, Churu experienced very light rain of 0.2 mm.
Duststorm also occurred at a few isolated places in the state, including the state capital.
