Heat wave continues in UP; Allahabad hottest at 43.1 deg C

The plains of Uttar Pradesh reeled under sweltering heat today with weather remaining dry all over the state.
The MeT office here said that day temperatures were above normal in Faizabad and Allahabad divisions, below normal in Gorakhpur division and were normal in the remaining divisions over the state.
Allahabad, recording 43.1 degrees Celsius, was the hottest place in the state.
The MeT department has forecast that weather would remain dry all over the state for the next couple of days but rain/ thundershower were likely to occur at isolated places over eastern UP on Sunday.
