Heatwave abates in Raj, Jaisalmer hottest at 41.8 deg C

Jaisalmer was the hottest place in Rajasthan with a maximum temperature of 41.8 degrees Celsius, even as heat wave conditions abated in parts of the state due to change in wind pattern and light rainfall at isolated places.
Jaisalmer was followed by Kota, which recorded maximum a temperature of 41.3 degrees Celsius, the MeT department said here.
Bikaner, Churu, Barmer recorded maximum temperatures of 40.7, 40.4 and 40.5 degrees Celsius respectively.
Day temperature in Ajmer settled at 39 degrees Celsius and 37.2 degrees Celsius in Jaipur, it said.
Meanwhile, Churu, Pilani and nearby areas received light rains today.
The weather conditions would remain the same for the next 24 hours, according to a MeT forecast.
