Hemsworth's parents purchased the property in Australia for their son late last year for USD 1.6 million.
The 6.2 acre ocean-view property is surrounded by sand dunes with three bedrooms and two-bathrooms.
A source said that the "Hunger Games" actor has been staying in the space as he continues to spend time away from Cyrus, reported New York Post.
The 23-year-old was allegedly spotted buying items for the home, including household cleaning products as well as food and beverages for his home.
Another insider said that Hemsworth is in a "relaxed mood."
Cyrus, meanwhile, has been working on her fourth album in Los Angeles. Days ago, the former "Hannah Montana" star was photographed outside a recording studio without her engagement ring.
