The 30-year-old, who is seen as Superman for the first time, got emotional while shooting for the iconic role, reported Contactmusic.
When asked about his feeling after wearing Superman's suit, he replied, "Extremely cool, but emotional. I thought, 'This is it. You're doing it, being Superman. I'll never forget it, because I really felt like him."
Cavill had missed out on the titular role in 2006 movie 'Superman Returns' but went through a tough workout schedule to keep himself in the right shape.
Superman is celebrating his 75th anniversary this year.
