seized from a person who was later taken into custody by the Mizoram Excise and Narcotics department.
The 26-year old accused was intercepted by the activists of Supply Reduction Service (SRS) arm of Young Mizo Association (YMA) with the contraband concealed in his possession and in his car from the Myanmar border village of Zokhawthar on Tuesday, reports said.
He was handed over to the officials of the state Excise and Narcotics department, excise officials confirmed and said the accused was being interrogated.
The seized contraband was worth around Rs 3.15 lakh.
