Heroin seized in Champhai town

Mizoram Excise and Narcotics
Department officials have seized 15 grams of heroin at Mizoram-Myanmar border Champhai town, department spokesman today said.
The heroin, worth around Rs 50,000 in the local market, was suspected to have been smuggled from Myanmar.
The suspected drug trafficker Lalengmawii (33) of Champhai was arrested and booked under relevant sections of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and produced before the Champhai District and Sessions Judge.
