The Ministry of Forest and Environment has given clearance for diversion of 45.75 hectare of forest land for the construction of 220 KV transmission line from Jamta to Devni and 132 KV double circuit transmission line from Devni to Kala Amb in the district, Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal said.
"The work on this 132 KV double circuit transmission, which would solve the low voltage problem in the area, has already been awarded and expected to be completed within targeted six-months time," he said.
With the construction of 17.956 kms in length of the line at a cost of about Rs 22.42 crore, sufficient and quality power will be available to the all industrial units of Kala Amb area and entrepreneurs of area would get a relief.
It will also provide uninterrupted power supply to other units of the area.
