Police today registered a case against the director of a Hindi serial, following a complaint by the Shiromani Gurudwara Parbhandhak Committee (SGPC).
The serial, 'Baani Ishq Da Kalma', is being aired on a private TV channel.
SGPC member Jaswinder Singh had complained that the serial was "wilfully hurting the sentiments of Sikh religion", a police officer said.
According to the complaint, a character of the serial distributed sacred 'prasad' to others who had not covered their heads inside Gurdwara.
