Hockey India makes Him Academy its member

Hockey India (HI) today made Him Academy (HA) its member with an aim to promote women in the sport.
HA now has the opportunity to be part of activities organised by HI.
Speaking on HA's inclusion, HI secretary general Narinder Batra said: "We are honoured to welcome Him Academy as our Academy Member. Working together with them will definitely provide good opportunities in the area of sports in the hills district. We look forward to a healthy sports environment on a National front hereon with the Academy".
The Academy run by Him Gold Cup Society is based in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh and has plans for the installation of astro turf in the district.

It currently provides training to 45 boys and 35 girls in the sub-junior category from across the country.
