Replying to a supplementary question in the Assembly, Minister for CA&PD and Transport Choudhary Mohammad Ramzan said, all major towns of the state will be provided home delivery facility of LPG cylinder from June this year and the facility will be extended to rural areas by July-end.
Home delivery of LPG cylinders in capital cities has proved successful and at present 95 per cent consumers of Srinagar city and 92 per cent consumers of Jammu are availing the facility, the Minister said.
On the issue of enhancing the cap from nine to 12 LPG cylinders the Minister said, the matter has been already been taken up with the Centre.
Enforcement agency of the department has been activated to keep vigil and check on the smooth delivery and distribution of LPG cylinders to consumers from all sale outlets, the Minister added.
