The 30-year-old doctor identified as one Atiq Khan was arrested yesterday for sharing a post that alludes to the recent crackdown on meat shops in Uttar Pradesh and some other BJP ruled states.
A local resident Anil Prajapat (21) had filed a complaint against the doctor for sharing an objectionable post on the social media site on March 26.
"Khan, who holds a BHMS degree, was arrested on charge of posting an objectionable picture and content on social media site," Jhabua police station incharge ML Bhati said today.
The accused was produced before a local court which sent him to jail, he added.
