Addressing the second convocation function of O P Jindal Global University last evening, Hooda said "society and the nation have done their duty by investing in your education and now it was your turn to return it, by becoming responsible citizens and by doing constructive work".
Yesterday was also the Founder's Day of the university and the 84th birth anniversary of late O P Jindal, noted industrialist, who was also a former Haryana Minister.
"We have also set up a Women's University at Khanpur, a Central University in District Mahendergarh, Animal Sciences University at Hisar and University of Health Sciences at Rohtak. The National Defence University is coming up in Gurgaon....," he said, adding soon Haryana will become a education hub.
"I am sure the ideas and values being provided by the university to its students would stand them in good stead," he said.
