Andhra Pradesh Backward Class Welfare Minister Kollu Ravindra today said the all 13 study centres in the state for students of backward classes will be provided with hostel facility.
The initiative will attract more candidates, preparing for various competitive exams, to enroll in the study centres in 13 districts, Ravindra told reporters here after heading a review meeting with officials of the department.
He also said that permanent buildings will be built for these study centres with government funds, adding, currently, of the 890 hostels under the department, only 500 are government buildings.
Programmes would be run to curb the school drop out rate and students from backward classes would be encouraged to enroll in schools.
