"We are happy to announce the launch of the first Howard Johnson hotel in Bengaluru," UMIPL Executive Director Rahul Rai said in a statement.
Under the agreement with Wyndham Hotel Group, Howard Johnson plans to launch 35 properties by 2020 across India, Rai said and added that it is a 117-room mid-market hotel.
The world's largest hotel company with approximately 7,540 hotels and part of Wyndham Worldwide Corporation, the hotel is conveniently located close to the Kempegowda International Airport, he said.
"Howard Johnson, affectionately known as 'HoJo' is known for its facilities, comfort and friendly ambiance. In India, we will target the cost conscious leisure as well as business traveler across various markets," Wyndham Hotel Group Regional Vice President (Indian Ocean, EMEA) Deepika Arora said.
