All workers, who have completed five years of continuous service on March 31, 2107, would stand regularised, an official spokesman said.

Last month, the cabinet had decided to regularise the teachers appointed on contractual basis after a three year period instead of five years.
Following the discontinuation of subsidy on sugar, the cabinet today also decided to start a new subsidy scheme to provide subsidised sugar to Above poverty Line (APL) and Below poverty Line (BPL) families.
The tenders for procurement of sugar under the new subsidy scheme would be invited soon, he added.
The cabinet also gave its nod to creation of over 250 posts in different departments.
