HP Univ to study HC judgement in teachers appointment case

The Executive Council (EC) of Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) today decided to study the judgement of high court, quashing the selection of some teachers and directing it to strictly follow UGC eligibility norms for appointment of assistant professors.
The EC also decided to study the recruitment process followed by other universities in the region and prepare a new proposal to be sent to the Governor, who is also Chancellor of the University, for approval.
The EC also decided that the results of interviews for the posts of associate professors and professors and interviews held under career Advancement Scheme would be published at the earliest.

The EC also sanctioned installation of software facilities for smooth implementation of processes and procedures under Rashtriya Uchhatar Shiksha Abhiyan.
