The Haryana government would soon prepare a policy for protection and conservation of pastures, land surrounding ponds and those belonging to gram panchayats.
This was announced by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar while hearing the grievances of people during a Janta Darbar in Palwal today, an official release said.
He heard 368 grievances during the meeting and directed the officers present to strengthen the delivery system of various services so that people do not face any inconvenience.
He also instructed them to take immediate action on the complaints received through various channels, including the CM Window.
On grievances related to ration cards, the chief minister said these would be re-issued after a survey.
On grievances related to canal water, he said water for irrigation was being provided to 1,200 out of about 1,300 tail-ends in the state and work was underway to supply water to the remaining ones.
Taking a stern view of complaints about police personnel indulging in corruption, he issued directions to the superintendent of police to take immediate cognisance of such complaints and take strict action against those responsible.
He also directed them to take immediate action on complaints regarding the theft of electricity.
