The police today recovered a huge cache of explosive materials from Talbandh village under Md Bazar police station limits and arrested one person.
Acting on a tip off, the police went to an abandoned house and found 18,000 pieces of detonator, 8,000 gelatin sticks and 100 kilogram of ammonium nitrate, Superintendent of Police N Sudheerkumar said.
"Investigation started to find out the source of the explosives and why those were stocked in that place," he said.
