Huge cache of explosives seized in Alwar

A huge cache of explosives including Gelatin rods, detonators and electric wire coils were seized from a car at Nakhnol in Alwar district here, police said today.
Acting on a tip-off, police chased the car and seized ten detonators, 221 gelatin rods, 250 metre of red colour fuse wire, and 25 coils of fuse wire yesterday, they said.
The driver of the car fled from the spot leaving the vehicle behind, police said, adding that it has been seized.
Police suspect the explosives were being transported for illegal mining purpose.
