A huge quantity of adulterated 'mawa' (dried milk), used in making sweets, was seized by police today from a canter on national highway, just days ahead of Diwali.
"34 100 kg bags of adulterated khoya were seized and four persons were arrested," they said.
Food Inspector has sent a sample for testing to the lab, they said.
Acting on information, police had set up a check post near Morta village on the highway. The canter was asked to stop, but the driver sped past, police said.
Police chased the vehicle and caught the accused, they said.
