About 350 persons belonging to various organisations led by Jamaat E Islami Hind, a religious organisation, today formed a human chain here to promote communal harmony and instill a sense of unity among citizens.
In line with the motto of 'Unity in Diversity" and the theme 'Nation for All,' the main focus on the event was to insist on the importance of fulfilling the democratic duty as a citizen of this nation by voting, police said.
The chain was formed from Aatupalam to Kuniyamuthur covering 1.5 Kms, in which many community leaders, socialites, intellectuals, NGOs and students participated.
