Husband gets life term for murdering wife

A bus driver was today sentenced to life imprisonment by a court here for murdering his wife in 2011 at Aravenu in Kothagiri, about 30km from here.
The prosecution case was that Moorthy (30) had left his wife due to differences of opinion and was staying alone.
On January 29, 2011, he followed his wife when she was going to a village and stabbed her to death.
The case had been going on in the Mahila Court.
Judge M Sarvamangala pronounced the verdict today and also slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 on the man.
