The woman was intercepted by customs officials after her arrival here from Dubai on Friday. She was found carrying three pieces of gold bars total weighing 1.7 kg concealed in her denim shorts worn under her leggings, a press release issued today by the customs said.
She was accompanied by her husband and two-year-old daughter, it said.
The value of gold is assessed to be Rs 42 lakh. Both the husband and wife were arrested and the gold bars seized, the release said.
